500gms Paneer
4-5 Tomatoes (sliced into quaters)
2 tbsp Butter
2 Bay Leaves
3 Red Chillies
3 Green Cardamoms
4-5 Cloves
2 Black Pepper Corns
3 tsp Garlic Paste
1/2 tsp Ginger paste
2 tsp Cumin Seeds
2 tsp Garlic (chopped)
2 tsp Ginger (chopped)
1 Onion (chopped)
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
Salt to taste
FOR MARINATION
2 tsp Ginger and Garlic Paste
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Cut half the paneer into cubes and crumble the other half.
- Marinate the paneer cubes with ginger and garlic paste, salt and red chilli powder.
- Heat oil in the pan and add bay leaves, whole red chilli, green cardamoms, cloves, black pepper corns, garlic paste and ginger paste.
- As the garlic turns brown add the tomatoes, salt and cook on low heat.
- When the tomatoes are cooked, strain them and the tomato paste is ready.
- Heat oil in another pan.
- Add cumin seeds, chopped garlic and ginger.
- As the garlic turns brown add onion.
- When onion turns golden brown add red chilli powder and tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the paneer cubes and add lemon juice. Cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
- Add the crumbled paneer and cook for a minute.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot.
